The Longhorn Open will not take place in January 2021. We would love to put on another memorable tournament and showcase the best pros, but unfortunately the Covid-19 situation poses many challenges, the greatest one being that the logistics around holding an event of this size on the University of Texas campus doesn’t fall within the scope of their current campus visitor policies and guidelines.
The Longhorn Open has been running for the past 15 years, and a year without this tournament seems hard to imagine. We hope to come back bigger and better in 2022 when we’re able to ensure the health and safety of our participants, partners, volunteers and the Austin community.
In the meantime, read up on the IRT season, and consider renewing your membership or donating to the USAR. These organizations need your full support to overcome this unprecedented challenge.
