———-

Dear friends, family and racquetball enthusiasts,

As you know, we lost my husband Gregg and father to Chandler and Allie suddenly from a heart attack May 4, 2020. Since that time, our family has spent much time thinking of how to honor and remember his spirit in a way that would be meaningful.

We are pleased to announce the Gregg Peck Memorial Fund has been established at The Dallas Foundation (a philanthropic support organization) in his memory. The purpose of the fund is to award annual scholarships to aspiring, high-level junior racquetball players to aide with the costs associated with tournament travel and entry fees, lessons, and racquetball equipment. The awardees will be those who exhibit heart, generosity, competitiveness and the desire to pay success forward as Gregg did. Many may not be aware that one of the things that brought Gregg much joy was his role as the coach for the USA Junior World Championship Teams. He loved coaching and mentoring kids and champions on and off the court!

To do so, we are launching a donation campaign kickoff on September 28 (Gregg’s 60th birthday) to build the fund to a goal of $100,000 which will permanently endow the Gregg Peck Memorial Fund and ensure that scholarships are awarded in Gregg’s name long into the future.

Will you consider donating, honoring Gregg and help deserving young players achieve their goals and dreams? Please feel free to pass this information along to anyone who would appreciate considering the opportunity.

We want to thank The Texas Racquetball Association who inspired us to establish this memorial fund after learning they initiated the Gregg Peck Spirit Award this year. Our combined efforts: the annual Gregg Peck Spirit award and the permanent scholarship(s) through the Gregg Peck Memorial Fund will keep Gregg’s spirit and memory alive and support players of the sport he loved so much.

We remain ever grateful for the ongoing love, friendship and support you show our family.

“The most gratifying part of racquetball for me has been giving back to Junior players. Working with Jim Hiser and winning back-to-back gold medals in the World Championships as Head Coach of the U.S.A. Junior Team will still be my most thrilling accomplishment.”
– Gregg Peck, August 31, 2019, upon learning of his Racquetball Hall of Fame nomination
